Alice in the Underworld: The Dark Märchen Show!!

Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" goes goth in Mari Terashima's screen adaptation of the children's classic. Terashima brings together Goth Loli performance troupe Rose de Reficul et Guiggles, doll maker Mari Shimizu and magician and actor Mame Yamada to create a macabre trip down the rabbit hole. The film appears animated, but the gothic characters are as real as can be.

Blowing out the candles, she receives instructions on how to leave this dimension, but also how to enter new ones.

In Dublin for her sister's wedding, Alice's night takes a curious turn when she stumbles into Hartstown, and has a series of very odd encounters with the local nightlife.

Betty in Blunderland

Betty falls asleep doing a jigsaw puzzle and finds herself through the looking glass into a modern, urban wonderland. The shrinking potion comes from a "Shrinkola" dispenser. When most of the characters assemble, Betty sings "How Do You Do" to them. But the jabberwock steals Betty away.

Marshall, a lazy couch dweller, gets thrown in Wonderland on the day of his job interview and must make it back before he gets kicked out of his sister's apartment.

Malice in Wonderland

A jet-propelled white rabbit flies through the vulva of a supine woman into a wonderland where people and objects turn inside out, changing shapes and identities at warp speed. Events roughly follow Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland." The caterpillar and the queen make appearances, as does Alice. Images and symbols are often sexual. At the end, Alice asks, "Who has had such a curious dream?"
